NEET

Enabling neurodiverse people with learning disabilities to live an inclusive & fulfilling quality of life

Welcome to NEETPEOPLE CIC

“I love working at NEET, it makes your life a bit more active and it’s nice to meet new friends”

About us

NEETPeople CIC is a commissioned service providing meaningful daytime opportunities for neurodiverse people with learning disabilities.

We are committed to creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every team member can develop skills, grow in confidence, and work to the best of their ability.

We offer practical, hands‑on learning experiences within a real working setting including horticulture, cookery, woodwork, and a range of creative crafts.

Based at Northcliffe Nurseries in Northcliffe Park, Shipley, NEETPeople CIC is founded and shaped by neurodiverse people with learning disabilities.

What do we do at NEET?

NEET Makes

Get creative in our fully equipped woodwork cabin or enjoy exploring new skills in our Arts & Crafts sessions.

NEET Eats

Our NEET Eats programme offers hands‑on learning and practical skills in cookery, led by our in-house chef tutors. Prepare, cook and eat with us.

NEET Grows

A wide range of horticulture‑based activities, incorporating polytunnels, vegetable garden and orchard.

Northcliffe Arts Trail

Nestled within the beautiful surroundings of Northcliffe Woods, alongside wild allotments and beneath trees that change with the seasons, NEET is a place where Neurodiverse people can connect with nature, creativity and community. Every day, we support people through meaningful, hands-on activities including woodwork, cooking, horticulture and creative arts, creating opportunities to build confidence, skills and friendships in a calm and welcoming environment.

Being part of Bradford 2025 – UK City of Culture gave us an exciting opportunity to celebrate the natural beauty of Northcliffe and share more of what makes this place so special. During 2025, Our Patch Creative Practitioner Dan Mallaghan worked alongside us to help bring a long-held ambition to life – a sensory arts trail woven through the woodland surrounding NEET.

This film captures the journey of the Arts Trail as it took shape, becoming home to four permanent sculptures and structures alongside a series of temporary artworks. The trail was launched as part of the Northcliffe Arts Takeover, a joyful mini-festival coordinated by Our Patch, celebrating Neurodiverse artists and welcoming the wider community to enjoy free creative activities in the woods.
